Pear and Gorgonzola Cheese Pizza from Allrecipes.com
I had this pizza at a place called DeSchutes Brewery in Portland,Oregon. It came with toasted hazelnuts on top. Since I served this at school I could not include the nuts.
1 16 ounce package of pillsbury pizza dough or fresh dough from a local pizzeria
4 ounces of sliced provolone cheese
1 Bosc pear thinly sliced and skinned
2 1/2 ounces gorgonzola cheese crumbled
Fresh arugula to toss on top at the end
1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees
2. Place pizza crust dough on a medium baking sheet. Layer with provolone cheese. Top cheese with Bosc pear slices. Sprinkle with toasted nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts) and gorgonzola cheese
3. Bake in a preheated oven 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is lightly browned. Remove from heat. Top with fresh argula and serve.
